city of llano
Main street program
Llano is located in the beautiful Texas hill country and is conveniently located approximately 70 miles west of Austin. At the heart of the
city the pristine Llano River flows through the town with the landmark Inks bridge connecting our historic downtown with the historic railyard district. Established in 1856, Llano is known for it's hospitality, scenery, antique stores, historic buildings, white-tailed deer, fishing, BBQ, cowboys and cattle.
The Llano Main Street Program focuses on economic development and historic preservation. It is a program of the City of Llano designed to help our community revitalize the historical business district by strengthening existing businesses, drawing new businesses, and focusing on the appearance and retail mix of the historical business district.
Llano Main Street envisions the Historic Business District as the heart of the community where history is preserved, where unique and exciting businesses flourish, and a place where both residents and visitors want to come for shopping, living and entertainment.
